ETERNITY MATTERS

In his message series "Eternity Matters", Pastor Russell Rogers reveals the Bible's truth on the issue of eternity. The very mention of the word "eternity" evokes strong emotion from people of all backgrounds and beliefs. TLBC members Josh Beardsley and Jerran Dutry were given the assignment of interviewing people on the street to learn about their beliefs of heaven, hell, and eternity. In this video, you will notice that the people interviewed have very different views of the afterlife. The opinions of heaven and hell vary from person to person. Ultimately, the Bible is the final authority on all matters, especially on eternity and the afterlife.

THE THING ABOUT LOVE WEEK ONE: LOYALTY AND LORDSHIP

Part one of this four week series deals with the issues of Loyalty and Lordship. Marriage is a relational picture of our Lord and His church. Jesus is the groom and we--the church--are his bride. To accurately reflect Christ in our marriages, it is important to understand the roles of the man and wife in this holy union. Men are called to love their wives (if necessary) to the point of death, just as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). Women are called to submit to their husbands as God has placed the man as the head of the home (Ephesians 5:22). When husbands and wives understand their proper roles and are bound by loyalty to one another, the marriage will thrive and be blessed. Watch the video to hear stories from seven couples right here at Trinity Life.

THE THING ABOUT LOVE WEEK TWO: OPENNESS AND OBEDIENCE

Part two of the "Thing About Love" series deals with the issues of Openness and Obedience. This video clip will make you laugh and warm your heart as our couples talk about openness in marriage as well as being obedient to God's Word and serving one another in love. Since marriage is intended to be a portrait of our Lord (the groom) and His church (the bride) it is vital for couples to excel in the art of open communication and in service to one another. Men are called to be considerate of their wives and to treat them with respect (I Peter 3:7). Women are admoninshed to not let their beauty be only outward, but rather to be especially inward (I Peter 3:3-5). When there is honest communication and sacrificial service to another, husbands and wives will experience harmony (I Peter 3:8).

THE THING ABOUT LOVE WEEK THREE: VALUE AND VISION

The third message in TLBC's "Thing About Love" series deals with the issues of Values and Vision. These themes address the practical elements of the marital relationship. If a husband and wife do not share the same Biblical values in their marriage, difficulty is sure to follow. Similarly, without a Christ-centered vision for the home the marriage is destined for hard times. Amos 3:3 addresses both of these components: "Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?" In the same way that we as Christians must align our value system and life vision with that of the Lord's, husbands and wives must also synchronize these two areas in their marriage. God's Word promises blessings to those who obey the Lord's commands. Just as this is true for us individually, it is also true in marriage.

THE THING ABOUT LOVE WEEK FOUR: ENDEARING AND ENDURING

The fourth and final message in TLBC's "Thing About Love" series is entitled Endearing and Enduring. The emphasis of this message is to find value in the valleys of our marriage. Every marriage will face its share of difficulties and hardships. And while all couples love the mountain top experiences of marriage, it is in the valleys that real growth and maturity are attained. Listen to our couples share the difficulties they have faced in their time together as man and wife. You will be encouraged by the fact that those same valleys brought them closer together in their love for each other and strengthened their faith in God. Just as David wrote in Psalm 23, we walk "through" the valley. There is a beginning and an end, and God's goodness and mercy will follow us.
